A new chair lift was added in 2012/2013 which replaced the chair to the top of the mountain. The new telecabine opened on the 20th Decmber 2013. A new set of snow canons (74) were added ready for the 2019/20 ski season. They are excellent and have given great skiing from the start of the season.
Thollon-Les-Mémises is a village resort with a family atmosphere which enjoys a privileged panoramic location highly praised in the Michelin Guide as "The most beautiful observatory of Leman". Cradled on the plateau, the village is a veritable "Balcony over Leman", at an altitude of 1000m, rising to 2000m.

Good for beginners and intermediates. Those who can ski red runs may wish to combine with visits to other resorts.

In high season (Xmas/Feb/March school holidays) book ski school / lesson early.
Go to esfthollon where there is a booking and payment service. The instructors are very good at assessing abilities and may chop and change groups to fit this on first morning, so all pupils get the most out of the school/lesson.
You collect your confirmation card on the morning of your first lesson together with bibs for children from the ESF Office.
Thollon is a family resort and many visitors return every year to enjoy the great welcome.

Also useful for young children is the creche which has moved to the far end of the Car Park next to the Tourist Office.
It is proposed that a new childrens area will be added next door to the new restaurant on the mountain, should be ready for 2020/21 if the work as proposed starts in April 2020.
Very reasonable rates and available by the hour, half day or week. Open in high season only, this includes the ski season.
